I’ve just wrapped up a few weeks with the team at MCH, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start in this industry. Not only have MCH been incredibly helpful as a newbie to all things marketing, they have been very welcoming as a team. Everyone who works at MCH is very friendly and has genuine care for both their clients and fellow team.
On my first day I was thrown straight into making a social media post for them. As a new hire with limited marketing knowledge, this was daunting but with the help of Mark, Jane, Emilie and the rest of the team, I really picked it up and thoroughly enjoyed it. By my second day, I was already sitting in on client meetings. It was fascinating to see the sheer range of people MCH works with – each coming from different backgrounds with totally unique products and goals. This “behind-the-scenes” access really deepened my understanding of how diverse the marketing world is and sparked a real hunger to learn more.
Over the following weeks, I took ownership of more social media projects. I spent a lot of time researching different platforms to figure out what truly makes a post stand out and how we could bring those fresh ideas to MCH’s own feed. It was a great way to blend my new skills with a bit of creative strategy.
I attended many events like the IAA talks, both as a part of the audience and helping actually host. This was a great opportunity for me to widen my knowledge and networking, listening to great speakers talk about their experiences.
My time here ended on a massive high: an invitation to the Crystal Palace Business Club. Getting a tour of the Palace stadium and hearing Chris Robshaw share his experiences was an unforgettable way to wrap things up as well as being another great opportunity to meet new people and form connections.
MCH has given me a lot of new skills, some great memories, and a huge thank you to the whole team for making me feel so at home!
